It's hard to believe that school is starting up for so many people, including Emma at Boulder High School - we had a great time photographing her senior portraits and are looking forward to this upcoming weekend when we get to photograph some of her friends. We definitely got a variety of pictures with some fun outfit changes and scenery, and as we photographed on a day sans thunderstorms, we were able to take advantage of Colorado's stunning afternoon and evening lighting. Loving the magenta skirt against the field background and the colors at the barn and old car in particular. Red Rocks is always a stunning location to photograph at and the addition of the vintage red car made for some fabulous images of the bride and groom. Between playing with Yo-Yos and stuffed animals, rocking out on the guitar, and showing off skateboard moves, Natalie and her boys were busy here at the studio during their family session. Artistic, stunning face painting. Cute, fun-loving kids. In a collaborative effort, I worked with Denise of Dandy Social Club and Leah of Face Fiesta to showcase some wonderful clothes and face painting Monday afternoon. Armed with plenty of snacks, juice boxes, and bubbles, 12 adorable children romped around the park in Boulder, yielding fabulous photos. We made wishes on dandelions, played "red light, green light", and were in rock bands- this afternoon could not have been more of a total blast! A HUGE thanks to the wonderful kids for participating and their patient families and parents for lending them to us for the session.
