Soon after Allyson's maternity session, she and Chris welcomed Blakely into the family. I enjoyed photographing them at their Boulder home- what a cute little guy!

Allyson and Chris recently came to my Boulder studio for a Collaborative Henna Belly Session that I worked on with Leah from Face Fiesta. The patterns and textures of the henna complimented those of the clothing Allyson selected, making for a unique, natural, and beautiful session. 

I recently had the pleasure of photographing Kim when she came into the studio for a collaborative Henna Belly Photo Session. Leah of Face Fiesta created a beautiful, unique henna design that I captured with natural studio light. A few weeks after this initial session, I met Kim's husband and son, the adorable new addition to their family, at their Boulder home for a family session.

Another fabulous afternoon of photography filled with great locations, outfits, and tons of laughing! Starting in the studio was a good way to get some variety for Amy- the backgrounds were fabulous with her outfits. I then photographed her in some Boulder fields and at a rustic barn to get a few natural, earthy pictures. The lighting was gorgeous throughout the whole afternoon and stayed around just long enough to get some artistic shots in some urban, downtown settings. Amy, I had a wonderful time working with you and am so excited about these pictures!

Choosing pictures from Kalina's senior portrait session was such a difficult task- they are all so gorgeous!! We started off in the studio with some natural lighting and then ventured outside and photographed by some fabulous red rocks in the foothills. Kalina was a trooper, hiking up them in a dress! On our way back into Boulder, we stopped by a field of bright yellow flowers that complimented Kalina's white summer dress. A couple more locations included a beautiful, lush green field and a barn in south Boulder- we were racing against the weather, as the clouds rolled in. Instead of calling it a wrap, we went downtown and took some fun photos in an urban alley with a patterned umbrella. Best of luck with senior year Kalina, this session was so much fun!

A very warm and joyful belated welcome to my beautiful nephew Jesper! Following up on my sister's mountain maternity session, I had the wonderful pleasure of photographing her, her husband Jona, and the little and latest addition to the family at their home in Boulder.

Every couple of years I enjoy photographing my close friend Elaine and her beautiful family- her two gorgeous children Sydney and Ian are growing up so fast! The slideshow below demonstrates the growth of the family over the last two years. I cannot believe how fast time flies and am appreciating each innocent, creative, childhood moment more now that my own daughter, Emma, just had her first birthday. Capturing the personality of children through candid images as they grow up is invaluable, so I am returning to New England this summer to once again photograph Elaine as well as extend a family portrait special to families in the area. We are honored to be a part of the Venus de Miles ride again this year and recently had the pleasure of photographing their youngest rider, Nicole. Nicole and her mother Kathy are featured as a mother-daughter duo in the Cycle and Style online magazine. Nicole's story is soon to be highlighted on the "She Pedals" blog as well.

 

On August 29^th, thousands of participants will ride through scenic Longmont on one of three different routes, which accommodate various skill levels. This annual ride benefits Greenhouse Scholars to support high-performing, under-resourced college students right here in Colorado. We wish the very best to Nicole and Kathy- Good luck ladies!
